Support women leaders in architecture!

Support this scholarship for emerging leaders to attend the AIA Women's Leadership Summit.

The AIA Women's Leadership Summit has had an incredible impact on my life and career - from attending the very first summit in Chicago to co-chairing the 2015 Seattle WLS- and with every summit I've attended since. The inspiration and comraderie I have found with each summit is priceless. And it all started with the vision and leadership of Sho-Ping.

Sho-Ping Chin, FAIA was a Principal at Payette and in 2009 the founding leader of the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit. In 2017, following Sho-Ping’s untimely passing, a group of colleagues, family members, and friends created a memorial fund in her name focused on supporting the development of future women leaders in architecture by helping defray costs of mid-career to senior women architects to attend the conference.

The Architects Foundation is raising money to support the Sho-Ping Chin Women’s Leadership Summit Grant Fund. $10,000 will help sponsor the next group of awardees. $125,000 will permanently endow the fund to award up to ten (10) grants to cover travel cost associated with attending the conference.
